Moxabustion
Bringing Healing Warmth
The theory and practice of Moxabustion is like Acupuncture. The difference is that instead of needling a pressure point, heat is used to stimulate the point. A smouldering cigar-like moxa stick is held 1-2cm above a point, gently warming it. Moxabustion can be particularly effective in treating stomach and digestive problems, weakness after illness, bronchitis and disorders such as tennis elbow and RSI. It forms an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
